Weather

Located in the very northwest of the country, at least 40 km from the coast, Santiago de Compostela experiences a climate that is unlike the rest of the country. It is considered as one of the most wet places in Spain, often experiencing heavy rainfall. The climate is affected by the Atlantic, hence producing much more greenery and calmer summer temperatures. It is surrounded by high mountains that lend a uniformed climate to the entire city.
